Just recently I ran across the work of Elizabeth Blaylock. Her use of color is great, especially the various color spots within a value...check out her work!!

Life is full of surprises!
Today, I received an email from Cindy Michand. I've never met Cindy but my cousin has a vacation home in 7 Devils, NC, beside her and he mentioned she should look at my blog.
She did so and found one of her own painting buddies, Carol Schiff, as a referred artist site.

Originally being inspired by the combination of a challenge from "Different Strokes From Different Folks" and the art of Wayne Theibaud, I did this piece on two 12x12 gallery wrapped canvases mounted onto board. Love the colors and thick paint!!
