Inspired by painting techniques of Kate Worm, brayers were used to create the layers of color then palette knife for the figure and costume. This piece was done, with delight, for the office of Carolina Performing Arts Center.
I taught art and photography, in public and private schools, in NC and Alabama, while also doing commissions and freelance art work. Later, moving into the commerical arena of art, I did research for Crayola Crayon and was an art director for NBC television.
I'm happy to say, several years ago I began painting again and I'm excited, as always, about sharing the arts with others!
