These little pears are done for this months "Virtual Sketch Date". There was a great reference photo of three pears in a white tray. As I began this project, I got carried away with creativity! Painting and cutting and playing with color! The circles, for some reason, kept reminding me of a childs birthday party ~ similiar to ballons perhaps!! Great way to spend part of a rainey day!

Really lovely piece Laine. The depth of the pears is great and the addition of colour and shape around them makes it very interesting.
What a great piece! It's so much fun to see the different ways people cropped the same image and handled the background. This is fantastic!
Hi Laine Lea, I really like this, it's bright and colourful and fun. Nice work.
I like it too. The funky background has the spirit of Belinda's photo, I think. Good to have a look at your collage work again.
I really love the mixed media. What a fun post. I will have to give this a try.
I really like the way you handled this, I never would have thought of it! It really does have a celebratory feel to it - would make a great birthday card!
Hi Laine,
Thanks for stopping by my blog, love what you have done its a really creative way of looking at it :)
Your piece looks like a lot of fun, and I like your watercolor pears too!
Laine, I really like your collage. It's such a happy piece and the circles and swirls go so well with the pears.
It does seem like a party.
I love how you did the pears.
I really like this, Laine! You've done a great job!
