5x7" Acrylic This is yet another inspired from the lake! Amazing how many things I want to paint; so many that, in fact, it can be overwhelming. Best to jump right in and paint rather than think about it too much. These chairs were really all different colors but Ive kept two as dominate. The colors of the pier and the water may be a bit too similiar ~ any thoughts?

Hi Laine, Interesting composition and cute subject. I think it works with the dock and water being a similar color, my eye goes to the chairs.
I do love your loose style! I do not mind the color similarity between the dock and the water. The white on the chairs seems just a wee bit stark to me. Perhaps a little bit of reflected color or a little yellow might soften it a bit.
Laine- if you make the dock lean towards green a little you'll differentiate one shape from the other without even having to change the value.
love the looseness of this piece.
